Thamer Mohammed Alsaedi, Amal Sayfuldeen Qari, Asia Ayad Aljohani.

Abstract
Breast cancer remains a leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide, with late-stage detection significantly impacting prognosis. The emergence of novel biomarkers has revolutionized early diagnosis and prognosis, offering hope for improved outcomes. This review comprehensively explores the diverse types of biomarkers and evaluates their pivotal role in breast cancer diagnosis. Our review employed a systematic search strategy across reputable scientific platforms, utilizing varied keywords to ensure comprehensive coverage. Articles were meticulously selected based on predefined inclusion criteria. New emerging biomarkers are thought to be promising in early diagnosis and, thereby, prognosis. The main uses of tumor markers are to track the effectiveness of treatment and to identify recurrences of the disease before they manifest clinically noticeable symptoms.

Key words: Breast cancer, biomarkers, tumor markers, role in early diagnosis
